I've petitioned the NPS to get a power socket installed at the base on El Cap so I can make the ascent.

My first thought was that Adam (of Mythbusters) had built one...but this is far superior. Works on brick walls!

You wouldn't need a power socket on El Cap if you were willing to carry along the generator!

I think that when you're first starting out, you should stick with one question mark. That way you'll learn its quirks, and also focus on more important things besides "which question mark should I use?" Once you've accumulated more experience you'll find it's quite useful to have several different ones in your quiver.
