Any good gyms worth checking out in S. NJ? I'm down south during the weekends on occation, are there any good gym options? Specifically the monmouth county area.

I live in South Jersey and while I'm not much of a rock climber, I've heard of this place in Maple Shade: http://www.eliteclimbing.com/
I can't say whether it's good or bad, so good luck.

Monmouth County is more like Central Jersey not South Jersey.
There are no good climbing gyms in South Jersey - in fact the only climbing gym is probably Elite which supposedly has good bouldering and virtually no leading if any. Rockville in Hamilton is in west Central Jersey– east of Trenton – otherwise you’ll have to go to North Jersey.
