I'm making my first trip to Idaho 2 weeks from now (August 7-15, 2010) and will be camping in the sawtooth forest. Sorry, not sure which of the many campgrounds, that will be up to the family coming up from CA. Could any locals please make suggestions for climbing within a 2 hour drive? I prefer 5.9-5.10d sport and 5.7-.5.9 trad. It would be nice if there could be some spots nearby to drag a couple first timers up as well. Thanks in advance to the friendly Idahoans out there. Oh yeah - potatoes! Couldn't leave that out.

depends where you're at. if you are near the ketchum area then the super slabs sounds like your thing. you can bring new climbers there too.

hope that helps
