Last night I was having dinner with a friend of my mine from Nepal who guides for pro climbers in around Nepal. After dinner he showed me his latest slide show from his recent trip with David Breashears in Khumbu icefall . I couldn't believe how much snow and ice has melted since my own trip in 2002. This looks bad and scary and with raising of the entire global temperature , there will be no snow & ice left in Himalayas. depressing

Wax on. Wax off. Glaciers come and go. So do people. There are some things not worth wringing one's hands over and global warming is one of them. It is what it is. Glaciers come and go, they are not permanent. DMT

Who next Angry, QWERT, Sungram. we are all going to die in 2012 anyway so whats the point. With all the rules the EPA puts out there we should be in a better place for the future, but with countries like China and others. Who dont regulate there pollution of rivers, ocean, and air quality. We are just wasting our time. Not untill we all, All countries start following the same rules, then we may make an impact. Untill then well we all have to breath Chinas fuckin pollution and drink the toxins they pollute the water with. Not saying other countries are not to blame., but China is in a Industrial age. FUCKIN UP EVERYTHING

Exactly those ass hats are single handedly doing enough polluting for two earths. How about sancions on the Chinese untill they slow down there emmisions. Not going to happen why? Because we borrow more money from them than any other country. As we pump more and more money into their economy. We are the ones losing. I remember when buying an American made product was the thing to do. Support your economy. Not any longer. Now we go to Walmart and that money goes back to china. We are all creating the economic hardship. You want to help buy american made products and support your local industries....

Good news! You can begin sanctions IMMEDIATELY. Don't shop at any Chinese-supplied retailer. Good luck with that. DMT

I try to stop by the local fruit stand and pick up vegies and fruits. To help the local economy. I also avoid Walmart. Although I will admit to shopping there on occasion. Also I eat at family owned restraunts and drive an american made truck. Which isnt the best truck but its pretty fuckin cool... What do you do to help?
