I am from utah and I am going to be hitting the road solo during sept and oct. and really want to experience new sport climbing and bouldering. But also be in a place where I can find a climbing partner relatively easily. just wondering if anyone has a favorite spot for the fall? I am thinking possibly colorado, bishop ca and RRG. good choices? Thanks

To hot in Bishop that time of year. maybe a few cool days but def a winter destination. RRG will be sweet. just getting into prime fall conditions. Smith is in full swing by then. if your heading east you may as well do the sand stone trillogy of NRG, RRG, HP40. That would be my bet. go east if your from the west and vice versa

fall in RRG is awesome. the area has great climbing and it is extremely easy for a single climber to find a partner.

My personal opinion would be RRG, Arkansas, and Chattanooga area. May as well hit HP40 while you're in TN too...

September is the best time to climb in Squamish. temps start to cool down, but the rains havn't moved in yet. october is pretty good as well, but it starts to rain a lot more and often you are confined to the smoke bluffs and certain parts of murrin. however there are a lot of other great places to climb nearby. skaha bluffs are great in october and much drier

Horseshoe Canyon Ranch in northern Arkansas is your best stop going through the midwest. Tons of sport.

Since no one else has said it, I will. Rumney. While I would never tell you not to go to any of the other places, none of them stack up in terms of density. 600+ routes, 100 or so boulder problems, and only 1 hours walk between the two farthest points. Most of what you'll want will only be a 30 minute hike at worst, so you could hit 10 unique crags in a day if you so desire. And did I mention that October is the best time of year to be there? If I were you, I'd hit the RRG in Sept and then Rumney in Oct. Just my 2¢

True. Miguel's campsitde costs like 2 bucks a night and you can get pizza for under 8 bucks depending on toppings. good luck.
