DDT has asked me to reconsider my decision to post these links, suggesting that having done so, especially so soon after Aric's departure, has caused more divisiveness than they are worth. DDT's handling of the whole Aricgate affair has, IMO, been impeccable from the start, and so I have respected his judgment and deleted the links.

Nice find. This is much more "user friendly" than the existing and disjointed Lab threads where (at best) NA merely quoted some of the original content that was deleted.

I deleted the link to the "Knots" thread, since it contained only dead links. For the remaining links, the majority of the links embedded in the pages do, in fact, work. All links to external web sites should work, and all links to rc.com threads should work, except for links to adatesman's posts that he has deleted.

More than that, even. I literally hundreds of hours into putting that together (not to mention the thousands of dollars in testing equipment) and right or wrong, I decided to remove it.
DDT- While I know you're going to say this is simply an inter-user matter that RC has no interest, as that is what you said in regards to NA's bulk quoting of my material. This is clearly done with malicious intent to harass another user and should be well over even your line. While I do not trust you to do the morally and ethically correct thing and remove this, I still have hope that you will.
And if not, I hope the users hand you your ass because of it (and deservedly so). In fact, I'd go so far as to ask people to drop you a PM to let them know how they feel about it. Even Angry has had enough, and that's saying something.

No, you're wrong. I have not done this with malicious intent or to "harass" you. I did it to preserve valuable content, and to make it easy for rc.com users to access it.
For purposes of decorum, maybe I should have waited longer to post the links. I kinda' thought the shitstorm had already blown over.
Aric, you've repeatedly stated that you're going to repost the information elsewhere, anyway, in which case, these links will be obsolete, and someone will post links to the new material anyway. Hell, you've already included in your sig line the URL to the same material that one of the links I've posted points to.

All this talk of unethical behavior and moral lines in the sand but as far as I can tell, the only clear line that has been just as clearly crossed was when Adatesman decided to to corrupt and obscure the contributions of other posters by removing his own.
Everything that has been done since then is in response to his violation of trust and decorum. We may have wandered in to a grey area during that response but it's not personal animus that has brought us to this point, it is the larger issue of how content is managed on this site.
