I'm a South African who would like to buy some BD Cams in Chicago (My girlfriend is traveling there, December, and will pick it up)
What retailer would you recommend in Chicago?
Out of interest.
A BD C4 #1 will set you back R667 ($90) in the RS of A
and only $65 in the USA

In the city, Moosejaw has a retail location where you should be able to pick some up. Out in the suburbs, the Vertical Endeavors rock gym (located in Warrenville, west of the city) has a good selection of cams, including C4s and C3s.

Moosejaw, Erehwon, and REI all typically carry them, though you may need to hit all three if you want a full set. They're all in the same neighborhood, and you can walk between all three. Also, for REI you can order online and have them deliver to the store. If you order a couple weeks before and call the store to say when you'll be in they should be able to hold them for you. That way you can get sizes that may not be in stock in the store...

you can probably save even more by mail-ordering discount packages from mgear or whoever, and have them delivered to her

When he said traveling there, I assumed it was for a short time period. If she's staying with a friend or somehow has a reliable mailing address, thats definitely the way to go...especially if buying a set, you can get good discounts online.
