I am finishing up working for the summer in Yosemite and I started to get into bouldering and as I get set to go home I was curious if anybody knows about any bouldering spots in the area. If anybody knows bout any spots in Western New York I would much appreciate the information. Thanks! Nate

The nearest spot is across the border, in Niagara Falls, Ontario. You'll need a passport or enhanced drivers license. http://glenbouldering.com I think that's the website, anyway. Otherwise, it's the adirondacks, or the gunks.

Second that. Niagara Glen is great. Gunks is good, usually packed. If you're up for a drive check out McKenzie Pond outside Lake Placid and Snowy Mnt, the only developed sandstone in the park. There's also 9 Corners Lake, packed with great problems from vB to V10 or so. Lots of rednecks in the summer, but a great spot none the less.

Thanks guys. I will definitely check out Niagara Glen when I get back. The ADKs will have to wait until next spring/summer probably.
