This memorial day weekend some bolted some new routes at the gully. here is the problem with that.. 1. you bolted one on my boulder problems that should have never seen a drill, ever!!!! the route is so badly bolted that if the leader did fall he/she would smack into a ledge from every bolt of the THREE bolts on the boulder problem. 2. you bolted a trad route. WTF..... if you dont have the ball to lead it that does not give you the go ahead to put in a bolt in it. plus there is ground fall potential 80% of the time if you just use his bolt. 3.This was his first time to Fern Gully. not going to mention names(for the fact that i dont remember) but he was from OKC....that would be like me going to your house and spray painting "Poser" on you garage door. shits not cool. learn to bolt at your home crag and not mine!!! 4.The forest service does not like the hardware in the walls. the only reason we have what we got is because it has been there for so long, and they see it as a safety measure because we are going to climb it anyway. So you come from OKC jeopardize our climbing access on some Shitty routes that you think you got the FA on..... Grow the F*** up!!!! Out of the three routes that he did put bolts on, one is going to stay. The rest of the hardware is going to be stripped and used on routes that are needing replacements.

That sucks bro! What did they bolt, and did you just find it recently, after AZ?

That really does suck, hopefully it doesn't affect access to Fern. I was just out there on monday. Love climbing there because it is so close. On the note of hardware at Fern, is there any way that the anchors on the PK Boulder can be replaced since they got chopped? (Sorry for the thread jack) Let me know if I can help out in anyway out at Fern though.

yea that is what i was thinking fixing up the PK boulder!! glad someone else had that idea. we can take the chains off of the boulder problem and the trad route and put them on THE Fun has just begun and Geronimo's revenge. i think i know where an other set of chains is stashed so we can fix easy street too. then take the bolt off of the trad route and put it on the THE FUN where the first bolt is missing. then one of the coolest boulder at fern is climbable again.

Awesome man. I just started climbing a few months ago and have really wanted to climb Easy Street. I'm free on the weekends if you need any help sometime, just let me know.
