Last fall I was fortunate enough to BASE off Shovel Point and there were a number of people climbing who watched and I didn't get her name but one climber stopped and took pictures of the fun.

If anyone knows who that was that got the pictures I would really like to see them!

Thanks for the fun jump.

Well Dave I was one of the people there. My friend Paula took some pictures. I'll try and get a hold of her and point her twords this thread.

how tall is shovel point? doesnt seem tall nuff for a base jump

From cliff top to water the area the OP jumped from is around 100' tall. Needless to say it was a very technical and dangerous jump.

To be honest when I saw the OP just show up and get ready to do it I was mentally sorting thought the gear I had to determine if I would be able to do a rescue / body recovery.

Thanks! I recall she said she took a bunch of really good pictures that I was unable to look at as I was obviously busy swimming and climbing back out.

I believe it was closer to 150' as line stretch of my rig is around 80' while doing a rollover and I had enough time to fly out away from the cliff and turn and land.

I wish I could have seen it myself.
