If you mean Leipzig, Germany(I assume).....welcome! I can't say I am "looking for a partner" per se, but you are welcome to join me and my friends if you would like. I don't seem to be able to find much time for climbing right at the moment ...but as long as the weather is okay, I try to get out once a week (either Sat or Sun). Addition: if you are going to be around for more than 1 semester, and especially if you are keen on other stuff too, like hiking, x-country skiing, etc, you might want to join the DAV (Deutscher Alpenverein). It is a good way to meet more people and get in on trips. Oh....and I'm pretty crap, so if you're looking for a partner who can climb well, you don't want me...

Yep, I'm in Germany, and thanks! I would love to join you when you go out. I haven't met any climbers yet and would like to. I haven't been able to find much time either, but have been to No Limit a couple of times over the last month. Still haven't had a chance to check out anything outside but can't wait to. Let me know next time you head out, I would love to tag along! I haven't been out much lately, so a little crappy myself right now. Thanks for the hint on DAV. I'll make sure to check it out.

Hey guys, I just moved to Leipzig from mexico like last month. Do you still live here? do you still climb? I was wondering if you could show me some places where I can go. I mean I've been going to the NO LIMIT gym, but I really miss real natural rock lines. I also don´t know anyone to partner up with.. So anyways, any advice or invitations will be, of course, highly appreciated.

Hi, Jon has since moved, but I am still here in Leipzig. Family has been keeping me pretty busy, so I am not climbing quite as often (...or as strong) as I used to be, but I still get out for a day on the odd weekend. This coming weekend is looking good weather-wise, so I will be trying to get out. Not sure if it will be on "natural" rock, but the old quarries around here aren't too bad either. I will drop you a line if I manage to make any plans. What part of the city are you living in? Cheers, Gabe

Hi Gabe, Thanks for answering! Unfortunately I will be out of the city this weekend, but it would be really nice to go some other weekend to climb if its possible. Also since I haven't been climbing as often as I used to I'm not climbing as good as I used to! Anyway I live in the Zentrum-Sudost, please drop me a line if you go out some day, by the way what quarries do yo refer to?? Gerardo

Bummer. Seems like everyone is gone this weekend, I haven't found anyone to climb with yet. Sounds like you live pretty close to me and a couple others in my climbing group. I live in the Südvorstadt. The quarries are the closest outdoor climbing on "real" rock around here and Halle. The are kind of grouped into 3 main areas: Leipziger Kletterschule Hohburger Berge and Halle/Löbejün All are <1hr drive away. 1-2hrs away is a huge amount of other, much better, stuff. (Sächsische Schweiz, Erzgebirge, Harz, Frankenjura)

Hey, I dont really live near Leipzig but I am looking for climbing partners in Germany. I have recently moved to Oldenburg for work, there is no outdoor climbing around here but I want to plan a weekend trip to the Frankenjura region, I have a car so anyone looking to do the same please let me know and we can hook up. Regards Daniel
