does anyone know whether or not so high uses the right-hand arete? I know there is another problem which starts on so high and goes around the arete, but does so high climb only the crack, or crack and arete? Please only comments from people who know first-hand, thanks. I am asking because I want to do it, and there is a video on youtube that uses the arete heavily, just want to get the rules straight!

While we are one topic maybe we should make a set of comprehensive rules for bouldering. Here's mine: 1. a) Beanie up b) Chalk up c) Don't shirt up 2. Hand your spotter the camera and make sure he's paying attention to the filming 3. Don't use that good hold, it's not in bro anyone got anything else to add? btw the arete's not in

So high does use the arete but tops out over the flaring groove. The other prob tops out on the face to the right & is explained in the Miramontes guidebook. take ur big balls for that topout bro.

Both of the original Bachar routes finish on So High. The RH route begins around the arete to the right and traverses into So high at about 15 feet. Both use the groove and arete at the top. Curt
