I never thought that I would get so excited and a bit choked up about a pair of shoes. But the first pair are something special.
Last weekend I got my daughter her first pair of climbing shoes. She is six this year.
This week she insisted that we go climbing, so the woody in the basement was cleared out and climb we did. Last year I had to bribe her to go climbing. Chocolate and little plastic animals only worked for about 3 minutes before she was done for the day. Now she is begging me to go climbing. This Wednesday we are heading to the local gym, wish us luck.

I know exactly how you feel. We just got our 2 year old a body harness and he LOVED climbing the wall at the gym. Got it on video. So awesome. We can't wait to send him to Yo basecamp with Sharma!
