Hey, is this sub-forum locked?
Here is something to put a little life back in the forum - Supertopo's "Disaster master" paul Humphrey has developed (and apparently has patend pending on) a stick clip for trad climbers that can place nuts, friends etc way up out of reach:

So here is my question for you - would you buy (or even use?) a gadget designed by a self-styled "Disaster Master"?
Personally I think its very clunky, and am waiting for the dehydrated version.

cool, we've been talking about something like this for a while now. Not so much for 'stick clipping' but for bolting or rebolting steep routes top down. It could be used to place a cam that wouldn't have to be bomber, just good enough to pull in close to the wall to drill. If it blows, no big deal, just a little swing.
looks like it could use a little simplifying but the idea is good. Also, it doesn't look like it would work with a single stem cam, just U-stem designs.

If you look at the Supertopo post there are pictures of it with single stem Camalots.

Might have a place in speed aiding. Match that up with the appropriate length aiders and it's off to the races.

I had the most weirdest thought about periscopes:
If you give Paris Hilton a few mirrors to swallow, you'll be able to see what she sees everytime she get's out of a car = Pariscope?

That's what I thought, too. DM even mentions using it for directionals when new routing. Crap. More stuff to carry.
