Any one tried the 99cm Hagan skis or any of the other approach type, shorty skis? The Nanooks are now out of production I see a pair on ebay w skins etc that will probably go cheap, considering getting.

I've skied as short as 140cm but not 99cm. I'd mostly want to use them in firm spring conditions in my area, day trips, I weigh 130.

here's a vid of them in use, seem fine in on firm conditions.

The snow venture's look very nice but are very expensive and seem about impossible to get in the states.

cheers

In firm conditions really short ski's are surprisingly fun to ski down with.

The main drawback can be skin grip on steeper slopes.

All this goes out the door in sloppy crusty or deep conditions.

I apologize for the commercial plug, but this forum thread popped up on a Google alert.

Yes, the Hagan Nanooks are unfortunately out of production. However, a few are still available. I began importing Hagan skis to the US a year ago. When Hagan announced the end of production of the Nanooks, I purchased most of their remaining inventory, as they have a bit of a cult following and I was getting requests for them. If the set on eBay are gone, I still have eight sets left at www.haganskiusa.com
