Rather than re-hash, if anyone's interested in reading a detailed account of what happens when you tear your flexor tendon while bouldering, have a look at my post over here (complete with MRI and Ultrasound images!): http://climbinginjuries.com/forums/read.php?8,516 Spoiler: I tore it twice and am on the mend after about a year and a half off. Question: Has anyone torn their FDP (flexor digitorum profundus) and lived to boulder hard again?

Interesting read. Good thread, well written. Glad to hear you're climbing again (apart from the back issue) and the tendon is performing well.

Nice thread. I haven't been over to climbinginjuries much lately. Maybe I'll start going back again. I'm glad you are feeling better, but keep in mind, even if you re-gain 100% of the original tensile strength, if you apply the same force to the same structure, it will tear again. Be careful. You only get so many *one year off* times in a lifetime.
