If you lived in the bay area and you were a sport climber that climbed 5.10 - 5.12+, where would you go? What options are there in the bay area?

Pinnacles National Monument south of Hollister, or Table Mountain / Jailhouse by Jamestown.

Are those places climbable year around?

Sport climbing around here sucks. Pinnacles is not climbable in summer and pretty much the same goes for Jailhouse. Summer options are mostly limited to the Sierra.

By Sierra, I assume you mean Table Mountain? Or are you talking Eastern Sierra like Bishop / Owens River?

Anything at lower elevation is going to be scorching hot in summer. The higher elevation stuff in the eastern Sierra can be good though -- Clark Canyon for one. Check out the Mammoth Area guidebook.
