im lookin into a road trip to usa, in FEB. mostly interested in a high consentration of trad routes (5.9-5.11) which of the major climbing destinations are warm enoff to enjoy in feb. or is it always hot tropics down there.haha??? ant links related to destination selection are apreciated.. is it easy to meet partners at these spots? thanks in advance

East or West? If East your best bet may be Red River Gorge in Kentucky or perhaps Horseshoe Canyon Ranch in Arkansas. If West probably Red Rocks by Las Vegas or Joshua Tree in S.California. Lots of other options, but weather can be poor a lot of places in Feb.

You could try Indian Creek and Moab area but it will be cold and maybe too much rain/snow. Not really trad climbing either but REALLY FUN! Edited to add that all the climbing is protected by gear, but most people would say that IC is sport crack climbing with the bolted anchors and all.
