I propose we add a "road trip" section to the climbing partners category in the forum. I often see people who are going on a long road trip across the USA post their inquiry for partners in the general section as there is no catch all nationwide road trip subcategory in the climbing partners section. Adding a "road trip" section to the climbing partners category would further enable those who are looking to go on an extended road trip across many regions to find other partners looking for the same thing.

This has been discussed several times and has been concluded to not work.
Use the existing partners section and solicit partners by the region that you are planning on being in next. Often, though, you will find the hoards of folks who are on a road trip and will seem to bump into them a few times before hooking up for a leg or two to belay. If you are on a true road trip, you will find that you will be able to get a partner in just about any parking lot at the destination areas if you hang out and offer up rope service and/or beer.
