My soon to be wife and I are looking into the possibility of moving to the Albany/Troy area. Things that are important are living close to a rock gym, normal gym, organic food store and, ideally, public transportation. Any recommendations?

New Paltz, but I suppose that's actually not very helpful...

My girlfriend lives in Green Island and the closes gym for her is the Albany Rock gym which is a small bouldering type place. The closest crag is either the Gunks or Moss island.

albany indoor rockgym is small and has short walls that lack steepness.i have only been one time but i got bored fast. i believe that a larger gym is re-opening at a new location nearby. i dont actually live in the area so i dont know for sure. the gunks is amazing, i know this for sure.
