Description: This 2-day camp addresses falling directly to help improve commitment. We do progressive falling practice on day one. On day two, we do movement, breathing, resting, and body/mind awareness exercises, followed by applying everything to a goal route. You’ll leave understanding how to take appropriate risk and how to commit to those risks.

You’ll learn how to:
How to give a dynamic (cushioned) belay
How to fall safely
Advanced falling techniques, such as pendulums
Better mental awareness by learning the mind’s limitations
Better body awareness by learning how to trust it
Distinguish between no-fall and yes-fall zones
Make appropriate risk decisions
Rest efficiently
Develop flow and momentum
Deal with climbing stress
Improve problem-solving skills
Reduce fear, and more

Pre-requisites:
Able to toprope 5.8 in a gym with no falls
Climb indoors/outdoors at least 1-2 times per week
At least 6 months of continuous climbing experience within the last year

Being able to lead (or being allergic to topropes) is not a requirement for taking this camp.
Tell me more about what you'd like to gain from the camp or what you feel you need work on...
