I'm a big fan of the PAS which I consider an improved daisy chain. ALWAYS keep one, and sometimes 2, girth hitched to my harness. Socal's story didn't make any sense. If the guy was too tired to tie a knot, clipping a daisy chain would have been an easy solution. I've been climbing since 1967 and I've seen and used just about every piece of gear that has come down the pike and I really appreciate anything that is well made and makes climbing easier and safer, like the Grigri and the PAS.
