Hello, My wife and I will be in Northern Tasmania for 4 days in April 2011. We would like to get 1 or 2 days of climbing in, but will not be bringing our own gear and are looking to hire a guide. I've been able to find out a decent bit about climbing in Tasmania on the web, but cannot seem to find anything re guided climbing. Anyone know of any outdoor organizations in Tasmania that provides guided services? Thanks! Rob

Hi, I'm unaware of any climbing guides in Tasmania, although I doubt there aren't any. Check this list of links on Chockstone or ask your question on the Chocstone forum. If anyone will know, someone of there might be able to help you out. Also, our own Philbox may be able to help you out. He's been there many many times and knows the climbing in Tassie well.

Thanks for the response. I found a company called Tasmanian Expeditions who guide around Launceston and I have an email out to them. I will post here if I find any additional guiding companies. Thanks!
