There was a sign from the neighbors this weekend blaming climbers for the trash at the parking lot and the road. While I know that climbers are not eating buckets of KFC and throwing used antifreeze jugs down the road, it would be advantageous to our access rights if everyone picked up after those who are abusing the park. I'm not sure who is supposed to take the trash and how often, but if it is overflowing with fast food bags, don't try to stuff your trash on top. So far, there have been extra trash bags tied to the kiosk. Empty the trash if you are able (the bed of my truck still smells) and clean up along the road. Clean up your used tape at the rock and lets make a good name for ourselves.

I just ran across this thread. My son and I were there today and finished our session with a trash pick up. I didn't know about the sign from the neighbors, but that should be a reminder to us all to do our part. Thanks bigredscowboy.

Thanks to everyone that helps keep the tide of trash at bay at Boat Rock (or anywhere). I empty the trash and recycling whenever I'm there, and always leave large trash bags for anyone wising to do the same. Must have a pickup, as gunk will inevitably leak out, but just hose it out quickly afterwards. New bags are generally tied to the back side of the trash corral.

Thanks!
