Hei,

I'm going to Font with my brother who is sort of a climbing beginner.
Now I'm looking for an area with easier circuits/problems. The best would be loads and loads of easy problems to start our trip off.

Can you recommend any area in Fontainebleau? There seem to be hundreds of areas with thousands of boulders and I am kind of lost. Is there a guidebook you can recommend?

Thanks and take care,
Gabel

Gabel, There are many areas will easy circuits and even children's circuits. One of the best places in the world for beginning and intermediate boulderers. Much of your itinerary will depend on the weather, though.

The children's circuit and the easier problems at Elephant are very beginner friendly.

The Yellow Circuit at Gorges d'Apremont is amazing, although the the problems closest to the parking are a bit polished.

Montagne Orange in La Vadouee is amazing-- much of it is merely scrambling, but it goes on and on and has routefinding problems built into it-- as close as you can get to an alpine experience in Bleau.

PIck up Jo Montchausee's guide-- it's the best single volume for a first trip .
