In contrast to AB's experience with the recently enhanced moderating staff, I have noticed a marked improvement in performance.
Not 5 MINUTES after I made two slightly off topic posts in a general thread, they were promptly recognized and hidden. And late on a Sunday night no less; a time when not long ago the Knob was ripe for flame wars and off topic silliness. BUT NO MORE!
So I would like to thank you all, new staff and old, for stepping it up a notch. May you enjoy great stamina and fortitude in your moderating for years to come.

Yes, that would have been me. With my wife away for a week, I have nothing better to do than patrol RC late night.
The entire moderating squad is trying to be a bit better about hiding off topic posts, but as has been mentioned several times before, we are all volunteers, have no method to assure every post gets monitored, and mistakes/overlooks will happen. Still, improvement is good, yes?
FWIW, ptftw's are not appropriate for climbing forums, and will be automatically hidden as soon as they are noticed.
Take the above five star vote as a token offering for my hiding your two posts (but just this once; you will have to earn subsequent star kudos.)
