My partner and I are planning to go toproping the 90 foot wall in two weeks time (Aug2-3) and was wondering whether the rock will be too hot to climb there at this time? This will be my first time going to Lake Tahoe in summer. Thanks!

To hot in Lake Tahoe??? Yoooooooouuuuuuuuuuuuu PUSSY! We climb here all the time in the summer (Joshua Tree) in 105 degree heat. How bad could it actually be during the summer there? Go for it. Figure out when the routes will be in the shade and off ya go.

Keep in mind that you'll be at 6000 ft so the sun can really take it out of you. Late afternoon is the best time to go. It may be warm, but the sun won't be beating on the rock. Also - the climbs all the way to the right go into the shade first because of a big tree right by them and the angle of the rock. :)

you'll be fine. mayhem cove is just around the corner, and has different orientations if you're trying to chase shade, but you'll need to be able to lead 10's, as there are no TRs.
