Thanks! Soon after I posted this update I got contacted by Alaska Magazine and got my first publication. I'm not sure about the circulation of the magazine but this is the photo (http://www.checote.com/.../h3aa20496#h3aa20496) that got printed as a double page spread.
My friend Brandon Hauser also got a double page in the same issue. I haven't seen the magazine yet but you can view his work at http://www.brandonhauser.com
