what's the best bouldering spot in So Ill? I'm looking for easier problems in the v2/v3 range.

im not a boulderer, but the jfalls area is chock full of boulder problems, from v0-v9, the yosemite slab area has a few in that in range, and nothing wrong with giving body karate a go. southern ill has new boulder problems popping up all the time. my guide book is a bit outdated for the newer stuff. try some searches, im sure you could find some more info on the new stuff

Thanks for the info. Yosemite Slab has come up on several searches. That may be one to check out.

yeah, the yosemite slab, and the dog walk area, both boast a plethora of boulder probs. theres more in the falls area but i dont know where they are hiding. hope its not too wet down there when you go. the whole southern ill region quite flooded
