I found your trad rack at the gunks. It was sitting at the top of Jackie, right next to the rap station. Describe it to me and I will mail it to you. I love me a good booty find, but this is ridiculous. You need this back.

Cute. Let's keep the RCnoob bs to a minimum folks. Someone lost their entire rack. I'd like to get it back to them.

Jay They hang it from a tree branch and run in to the woods to take a crap? Seriously though, I can see rapping without the gear sling and having to go back for it, but I don't see how you could actually forget the whole rack. Not leave the crag, get in the car and drive home kind of forget it.

Reminds me of those notes beside enormous ancient Greek or Roman statues in museums - "Found on a hill near Rome". They were never F***ing LOST!!! Nobody loses a whole rack, they may have forgotten it, but they sure as heck know where they left it. Admittedly if they're half way back to Ohio or Quebec, they would appreciate someone taking good care of it. TE

You probably already thought of this, but you might have better luck posting on Gunks.com. I think they have a specific lost and found thread.

Except that at the Gunks, you should be able to just walk around to the top of the cliff, or holler up to the next person in line to grab it for you...

Wordpress and I have an abusive relationship, so I'm not too sure if my post was accepted. It's not appearing, but it may still be awaiting moderator approval or something. I've also tossed notes up on MP, NEice, and NEclimbs. (plus, rock&snow, and the uberfall bb)

Did you find the owner? You could also contact the Mohonk Preserve and let the rangers know that you have the rack. The phone number is: (845) 255-0919 You are a good person, I hope good things come back to you.

I don't know how you do it but I found a "TRAD TRAIL" at J-Tree about 10 years ago. Someone didn't close their pack all the way and dropped gear for about a 1/2 mile. It was fun following and picking the stuff up. Kinda like a scavenger hunt. Dropped it all off at the front gate on the way out...wondered what happened to all that stuff? JB
