the line between highball bouldering and freeclimbing is when u climb something and are thinking subcontiously that you have a rope but u dont

You mean "free soloing". "Free Climbing" just means not using the equipment to aid your acsent, only using the rope to catch your fall. Free Soloing means no rope.

I would assume it's the same line as 'X' - that is where a fall means death. That line of course is fluid, as a short prob could have deathfall potential, and a huge one might not.
