When the story first came out, I was listening to the radio, and the first tought I had was: wow, a guy with a last name like that, could it possibly be more ironic? Seriously though, I have no problem with him having phone sex, sexting, or any othr sex-related relationship, with as many women, men, hermaphrodites, eunichs, etc, etc., as he wants to. It's the cheating, lthe ying, and the pathetic attempts to weasel out of it that make me want to throw up. I just wish FOR ONCE that when a story like that comes out, the person accused of it stands up and says: yeah, I did it, and so what? It is none of your damn bussiness. It is between me, my wife and these women/men, and we are all on the same page about it, so F*CK off, what we do in private is our business, and not yours. Of course, it would require someone who is honest and open in the first place, to his partners. instead of being a lying SOB. In other words, politicians are out... LOL, I wonder if there ever going to be a time when it would be acceptable for an elected official to admit to anything other than a straight and narrow conventional monogamous relationship with his wife. Would there ever be a congressman who would conversationally mention in a candid interview that he and his wife have an open relationship? A senator who happens to be part of a threesome? An openly lesbian president? I think the world would be a better place... but I am sure we would all be long dead before such a thing could happen.

Their prime minister is openly lesbian.

"I didn't send her a picture of my crotch" "I didn't send her a picture of my crotch" "I didn't send her a picture of my crotch" "I didn't send her a picture of my crotch" "I didn't send her a picture of my crotch" "I didn't send her a picture of my crotch" "I didn't send her a picture of my crotch" "I didn't send her a picture of my crotch" "I didn't send her a picture of my crotch" "I didn't send her a picture of my crotch" "I didn't send her a picture of my crotch" "OK, I did" Reminds me a lot of: "I didn't take steroids" "I didn't take steroids" "I didn't take steroids" "I didn't take steroids" "I didn't take steroids" "I didn't take steroids" "I didn't take steroids" "I didn't take steroids" "OK, I did". What great role models and leaders we have, huh?

I was thinking more of "anything other than monogamous", while most of GL relationships are still in the monogamous category. Regardless, I stand corrected, the world would probably never be a better place--not due to a change in sex mores, at least.

Funny, I initially wrote that exactly. And then went back and edited for undue pessimism.

You will need to look back in history for what happens when a civilisation goes down that path. Check out the decline and fall of the Roman empire for evidence of what happens to a great empire when anything goes at the top. The US is heading where Rome got to.

Thing is, it seems that all Western civilization is going the way of the Romans. Or at least that's the picture the media paints.

Yeah, when Rome's leaders adopted those freaky Christian values it really went downhill.
