Staying in Seattle for 3 months from August onwards.

Strong sport climber, but looks like alot of the climbing in this region is Alpine rock / Mountaineering.

just after some advice on where to start to look for some partners or organisations that would be interested in doing some Alpine rock / mountaineering through this period.
also any leed on some sport climbing areas close to seattle...looks like exit 38 and Levenworth and 1 or 2 others are ok?

Leavenworth-very good granite (trad/sport) for the area.
Vantage- Excellent Sport
Tieton Canyon-Also very good

As far as Alpine, after September, things turn nasty in the PNW, so line up any objectives before Oct. (basically, you've got 3 weeks). The places listed above have comparatively nice weather through December, Jan.

Hmm, Here is a different perspective for cragging.

Exit 32(Little Si) for steeper sport climbing
Index for trad/sport granite - excellent
Equinox(yeah yeah everyone knows about it already) for steep sport
Newhalem - steepish granitic sport
Nason Ridge for okay east side sport climbing

Fall is good climbing in Washington when it is dry. The best Index days are crisp October. The steeper sport climbs will stay dry in rain. The east side crags mentioned in the other post are okay, but generally easier routes and not of the same quality IMO as the west side.

Hope your visit is going well.
