You can climb in our canyon and not see a fellow climber that you dont already know or that you did not go out there with. Its a nice canyon and has some cool routs. I am just wondering who reads this and there is no forums started for the canyon, so I started a stupid one, come climb a the canyon a lot, it would be nice to see some nice faces

How about putting the name of the area in the title or in the post so those of us who are lazy can know what you are talking about and not have to click on the link.

I am in sheridan for the summer and looking for climbing in the area. I have heard things about tongue river but don't know where it is or what's up there. My goal for this summer is to send a v5 and lead 5.9 I know this thread is old and dusty but im hoping for any sort of reply

Prolly 'cuz Wyoming is the least populated State and no one has heard of this place. You need to promote it with directions and photos and beta--climbing, camping, nearest supplies, etc.

http://www.mountainproject.com/v/tongue-river-canyon/105818466 If you check Mt. Project, you’ll find a reasonably complete listing of Tongue River Canyon routes. As for the lack of popularity, you didn’t mention the rattlesnakes. Despite that, I’ve enjoyed climbing there. Rob
