My daughter (7) and I will be attempting to get to chickies some time over the 4th week. I would like a little info. on the are before we get here. can anyone help me with that? best time, place, route, parking, etc. etc. We'll figure it out, but always nice to have a little beta, thanks

Tim, all that info's on the page you linked to, though the time part might not be so obvious. Chickies sees a lot of sun, so the best times in July are early and late in the day. Midday will it'll be an oven.

Thanks, I am in the process of getting the guide by Michael S. Hartman printed out. He did a great job! Thanks for your reply and the info on the time of day. That'll work out just fine for us, we like the early morning climbs (NC weather)
