GripMaster + Powerball

Hello!

I'd like some advice on a little training I've been doing lately.

I don't have much time during my day for my training due to my work and other activities... but I do have a 30 min rest after my lunch and I started using a Grip Master and a Powerball during this time to improve my/hand arm strength.

I do this 3 times a week alternating with my actual climbing training.
I use the GripMaster with 4 diferent pinches, in a series of 10 reps, pressing for 10s then realising... 10s then releasing... Both hands.
Got the pinches from here:
http://info.rockrun.com/articles/gripmaster-training-tips.html

After that I play with the PowerBall for 3 reps of 1min in each hand, spinning as fast as I can hold for that time.

The good thing is, it's simple, fast and I can do it watching tv Wink.

What do you think of that? I've heard bad and good things about these two apparels and I'd like some more opinions.

Thank you!

I use an "Iron palm" canvas bag filled with rice. Toss and catch between hands, etc. The rice forms a different shape each time which can help reduce the chance of repetitive stress fractures (potential downside to trad grip strengtheners). Add or remove rice to adjust the weight of the pouch. Works skin toughness due to the canvas material, hand, finger, forearm and even shoulder strength depending on how you use it. I toss it around and grab/release while watching TV on the couch or whatever.

If you can, get a hangboard and do that instead. Better yet, get two campus rungs and hand them like a hang board 2 feet apart and do doubles up down up down.

Your genius is wasted in fields like physics. Sorry.
