I will be on a family vacation next month in the vicinity of the Picos de Europa, in Spain, and I am going to get one day on which to do some rock climbing. The best days for my trip schedule are Tuesday the 30th (based out of Arena de Cabrales) or Thursday September 1 (based out of Potes).
I have the English-language Evans Companion guide to the area-- it looks like there are numerous awesome full-day 7 to 10 pitch routes in the 5.8-5.9 range or thereabouts. I think the easiest thing is for me to just hire a guide for the day; I'll just bring my harness and shoes and have a fun time not leading anything. On the other hand, if you are a climber, happen to be reading this and are local to the area and want to meet up, I'd be open to that too.
Anyone have a good guide service to recommend, or want to get together?
