Hi. I've never climbed outside before.. just at Boulder's gym. I'm looking for someone to climb with and show me the ropes at Devil's Lake this summer. All of my friends are lame and not too interested in climbing.

Hi Ehemming-- We will be climbing at Devil's Lake quite a bit this summer and would be glad to put you on a rope. BTW, why do you want to leave the gym? I am a bit interested. Best Jack

Hi Jack, Do you know of anywhere to do some DWS?? I have a harness, but I don't have any other equipment to set up to do my own routes and don't want to pay $85 to climb with an outfitter. Any help is appreciated!! Thanks! -Erin

Good question. I assume you mean around Wisconsin. I was looking at a thread on Mountain Project the other day that described a really nasty DWS in Minnesota, but it is apparently not overhanging enough to make for clean falls. There is supposed to be some good bouldering in Governor Dodge State Park near Madison (and apparently some bolted sport routes), and of course in Devil's Lake. We have lots of gear so let me know if you are up for climbing sometime-- my schedule is pretty flexible this summer except for Tuesdays. Jack
