Mr. Minnick, Bob Dirt and SPP have found a new climbing area in Suwanee,GA. Still in the development phase and to be ready by April 20th. The area is on Public Property and has many many boulders with great quality rock. Here is a link with few pics of the 20 or so boulders and more information about the area.. No joke! Looks like its pretty shaded though, not like shade helps much in 95deg 100% humidity GA weather.

Topo is done and all. You can find it by going to the Buford dam. Cross to the Gwinnett side of the river and walk downstream for about a mile. Ticks are seriously in platoons right now. Enjoy....

Parking- Either side of the Lower Pool parking at Buford Dam. If you park on the Forsyth/Cumming side. There is a bridge to cross to the Gwinnett side. Either way. You want to be on the Gwinnett side Near 1 mile down stream. Boulders are right off the river stay close to the river and you will find easily. Rules. Be Kind. Be out by dark, they will tow the vehicle once the gates close. NO BOLTS EVER! EVER

EVER I was hiking around there today...washed out ravine cut off the narrow trail following the river...do you follow the bank or is there another trail I missed? Is this a good place to practice trad placement and anchors?
