I'm in the very, very early stages of planning a skiing trip to Colorado this winter. I have no set places in mind, but one thing I'd like to do is try to make a day trip to climb a Colorado 14k mountain. First, is this possible in the winter, and second, is there a mountain people would recommend? I'd obviously be looking for a mountaineering partner. I have one 14k experience under my belt, but would still be fairly new to mountaineering.
