on a wall i climb on the thing that is behind the wall covering the hole that you screw the hold into. (what are they called?) the little spike things came out on one of them and ripped the wall up a bit. you guys probly have no idea what im talking about but if you do...do you know if there is any way to fix this or am i going to just not use that hole? sorry if you cant tell what im trying to say i cant really explain it that good.

As far as the rest of your post I got lost...it came out and ripped up the wall?
It should be on the back side of the wall, so you would not see it. What exactly are you trying to fix...did it come out and you need to replace it? So you can still use that hole that is now open in your wall? I got a little lost. Try to explain again. i am kinda with you

sorry ...it was on the back...the wall is ripped up around it and its really weak in that spot...yeah i need to replace it but i dont know how to do that without making it worse..do you get what im trying to say?

i do understand now I guess it depends on where the hold is located on the wall...how much use it will get, how often you use it...how thick your wall is. I dont' think a little T-nut would rip it up too mcuh to not trust it again. I screwed up some of my holes while drilling and I still use them.
I would say if you have decide you are goign to use the hoel again...you will need to get a nut started on the backside using a screw or somthing to hold it on the front..proabaly with a block of wood rather than a hold and have a couple of washers in between the wood and the bolt...and tehn tighten until teh t-nut is flush on teh back.
does that make sence

yeah that makes a lot of sense...im not going to be using the hole at all until i change the holds again. i just changed all of them cuz it got way to easy so i will wait till i change them again.

hey by saying that it ripped up the wall do you by any chance mean that the entire hold came off when you used it ( along with the t nut )? because if it did i think you are using thin boards (how thick are the boards that you used. . .i hope not 1/2). any way i suggest not using that portion again just to be safe.

good idea with the mono pocket.. i cant even fit my finger in it and i dont have any aid gear..

hey vaness...when you said the wall ripped...i think you ment the wood behind the wall stripped...the bolt wont go in without stripping it more.

ill tell you what, i climb in a pretty getto gym where this happens. you can still use the whole just pound another t-nut in the spot, or you can reinforce it with a small piece of plywood over the hole and pound the t-nut into that, but the idea of a mono pocket is a good one just make sure you file it down to make it finger friendly. if your looking to buy t-nuts cheapholds.com has them for sale and they are top end so you shouldnt run into that problem again.

vaness; there are 2 types of T-nuts; the type with teeth which are pounded in from the back, and the type that have a plate and little tiny screws you screw in from the back to hold it in place. I take it you had the teeth type; you can probably use the other type, screw it in, and make it nearly good as new. add a little epoxy to the ripped area and you're set permanently
