I'm new to Southern Colorado and have a few questions for any local climbers who happen to read this.

Does anyone know who bolted the routes at North Lake? And when they were bolted?

Also, more importantly, are there any other bolted or toprope accessible climbs in a 2-hour radius from Trinidad? As I said, I'm new here and would love to find more climbing. I've been having to make do with exploratory bouldering...

Just over two years later-

Routes were bolted between 1999 and 2003, by Tom Reid, Bryan Gartland, several other local climbers, and visiting Virginian, Mike Gray (aka roninthorne). Hardware is top grade, and a survey of the routes in 2010 showed that the trail is pretty well grown in, some of the East faces have suffered from broken holds and there is a spinner or two- be advised! Almost every line not bolted was led on gear, no matter how minimal.

cheers!
