I just started climbing a couple months ago and I'm looking for some cheap lessons? Any ideas or tips from when people first started?

Check out every climbing-related book in the public (your college, etc.) library.
Oh -- and study them thoroughly.

When I first started climbing (in the gym), I took a toprope course. The most important thing they learn you there is how to climb safe: tying in, how to belay, and partner checks. Then I started climbing, and grew all the wrong habits (like awful foot placements, relying too much on arm strength, etc). This brought me up to 5.9 climbing, but then it became very difficult to grow.
What I did then, is watch more experienced climbers, and learned from their technique. This helped me very much, probably more then any course could have done. When I reached another limit in my improvement, I purchased the Self Coached Climber book, and that one helped me even more. Still haven't read most of it, as I want to learn as I read: each lesson I learn from it, I fist want to practice while climbing. As for toproping (which I do the most, due to the gym I go to), I managed to grow to 5.10d, leading up to 5.10b so far.
As you say you have been climbing for a couple of months, I assume you got the tying in and belaying covered, though it could never hurt to let someone check on it. Never forget the partner checks of course! If you want to learn more technique, both the watching better climbers, and the book are very helpful.

lesson1: dont pick your nose on a bumpy road
lesson 2: 3 cups of coffee, 2 beers and 1 cigarette; there is a 20 minute window when you can climb ANYTHING!
