Try waiting for actual facts to come out before making assumptions. If you do this it may actually give you a shred of credibility.

Reporters wrote:
Police officials have said a preliminary investigation suggested the shooting resulted from a fight between two groups of men at or near the encampment. Investigators do not know if the men in the fight were associated with Occupy Oakland, but protesters said there was no connection between the shooting and the camp.

I'm no expert, but it looks like a violent action committed by right wing extremist has a higher body count than the incidental and accidental deaths of the occupy movement.

The point is that all of us ate a lot of crow when it came out that the perp there was a regular nutjob, not a right wing nut job. Maybe you should wait a bit before attributing the deaths to left-wing nutjobs, when it may just be nutjobs.

To be clear, I think the core motivation of both the OWS and the Tea Party are equally valid, but they both have increasingly crazy "spokespeople", that is, the people who garner the most attention and end up speaking for the group are also the most likely to be a few cars short of the Burlington Northern.

Provocateurs and agitators have been a hallmark of protests since the 1960s. One should learn about these scum and know how to recognize them before one decides to go out and join a protest group. Often, they are the local police.

I agree with both points.

That second point became very evident when Representative Nance Pelosi came out in support of OWS.

Personally, OWS lost all credibility when they accepted the alliance with Big Labor (talk about thugs.)

I live in a right-to-work state and its a worker's paradise because there is not a (relative) scarcity of jobs. However, if the roles were reversed, those same folks would be crying for unions, if for no other reason than because Wyoming is in the top 5 in terms of workplace fatalities per 1000 hours worked. If it were possible for employers to effectively abuse their workers here, then we'd need the ability to bargain collectively. I agree that unions have their uses, and that's predominantly when workers outnumber jobs, so there's no motivation for employers to treat their workers as anything but a disposable commodity.

I would rather hang out with the OWS than bible belt creationist male dominated brain washed sel-righteaous 'christians' like you Pinky. Ever been to a climbing area outside of Florida? (or right, no climbing areas in Florida, so you only know how post your hate in the community forum), well, they look a lot like the piss and shit show that is OWS, just fitter, but not less stoned and drunk.

The OWSers still have light years to go before they catch up with the murder, attempted murder, kidnapping, assault, bombings, arson, and property crime carried out by these dudes:

Anti-abortion violence

...and uglier and uglier.

Oakland officials assess damage to City Hall by Occupy protesters

LATimes wrote:
Throughout the action, some demonstrators threw bottles and other objects at officers. In a tactic that officials said they had not previously confronted, protesters also moved in on the police line carrying elaborate shields. One such shield, on display at City Hall on Sunday, was about 6 feet by 4 feet and built from corrugated metal on wood panels, complete with multiple handles. “Commune Move In” was painted on the front of the shield.
