Any skateboarders in here?

Just curious. Because I've been skateboarding for over 10 years, almost 11 now. The same obsession I currently have for rock climbing, I've had for skateboarding when I first started years ago when I was 13.

I didn't quit skating to start climbing. I still plan to skate (board was stolen... it was in the back of my 1987 Subaru GL hatchback, which was stolen recently), as soon as I can afford another one.

Anyway, if you used to skate, or still do, post pics!

A trick tip video clip I made YEARS ago.

Long time rollerblader turned climber here.

What can I say, I'm just an extreme sport junkie.

"Skate" is a very strong word. I used to fall over a lot (a lot, lot) while in vague contact with a plank on wheels.

It is quite the coincidence that you where a rollerblader and have an avatar of a fucked up wrist.

I never fell blading. I'm THAT good. Wasn't until I started climbing that shit started getting broken.

Skateboarding for the past almost 11 years now, I've noticed, has been a huge help for climbing. Obviously it did nothing for my arms lol, but it did a lot for my legs and my core. Doing manuals and nose manuals for years will do that.

Kenny Anderson Nose Manuals from L.A. to Vegas. (not really, but cool vid nonetheless)

Started skating in the mid 80's. Never was very good at it but could do the basics (kickflip, heelflip, ollie waist high etc.). Now it's more of a means of transportation. Might get the itch to skate again especially since I live next to a nice bowl now.

Nice! You should do it. It's a nice alternative activity to do on your rest days since it mostly just works your legs.
