Funny video, well produced and I wish you luck in the competition. But for climbing its an irresponsible film and you're obviously not a climber. 1. No Helmets 2. Climbing on sandstone and letting rope run over the rock 3. Climber’s rope not through both loops of their harness 4. Climber’s knot tail too short 5. Belayer lets go of the break rope and holds other end to hold him 6. At 23secs the belayer has no belay plate

That was pretty funny. I'm at uni so couldn't have sound on, but I still chuckled. But, uh, I'm pretty sure that it wasn't meant to be an instructional video. I don't think I would call it "irresponsible"...

I liked it too. Only thing I noticed was the disappearing ATC at the end, but that's the way things go sometimes on these big jobs.

Hi linlebar, You are absolutely right with your observations. We knew going into this that some climbers would tear it apart for safety and technical reasons. Thomas, the actor in the blue is an experienced climber, and was quite aware of the concessions that we had to make in order to make it funny. If we followed correct procedures, there wouldn't have been any jokes. It is meant as commercial, not a how to video. We are fans and enthusiasts of the sport and don't want to do anything to promote unsafe climbing. But sometimes you have to bend the rules in order to get the joke across. All the best, Michael "Pixelphile"

All the best, Michael "Pixelphile" You could have gotten the same effect without actors by simply placing an open bag of Doritos on the floor of Rockreation. Jay

Thanks guangzhou! I would love for it to air nationally, that would be awesome. If not, then I'm happy if I can just make a few people laugh in the meantime.

All the best, Michael "Pixelphile" Pretty dang funny. Of course he let go of the rope! He was stealing the Dorritos. Hense the joke and punch line. Sigh. I liked it. The falling, the scream, the disappearing GF, the thud. Well done Michael. This is worthy of moving to General for more traffic.
