That's an age old mod done to the original GriGri to add the keeper sling. I did it to mine eons ago. I actually swagged a thin cable as my keeper sling.
That's been a gripe of grigri owners for years. Why hasn't Petzl given us a keeper sling? Considering how much time those devices spend on walls.

I concur. Yes I am showing what Petzl says not to do. Why? Because there's not a lot of info and for the few people who need this mod the information should be available. There are a few sites that have it already posted and now my blog that I don't really use is another. I can do whatever I want to my GriGri however I want and post wherever I want. Long live the moded GriGri!

ah it is good i just dont care much about that blog. ive spent about an hour on the thing total. anyways just wanted to post it to add another resource. maybe ill fix it today.
