I recently bought four new cams off a fellow climber. They have Trango triggers and Trango slings, and were sold to me as Trango cams. I can't find these cams anywhere on the net and I'm doubting they are made by Trango. I've attached a couple of pics. I'm looking for any info on these cams, thanks.

I'm pretty sure you've got trango cams there. FYI, trango doesn't actually make them, those I believe were made in the Czech republic for trango, by a Czech climbing company, which also sold the cams under their own name (Hrudy sports? Can't remember.)

That sort of thing is pretty common in the climbing industry.

Guys,
Those were some cams that were made by the Korean manufacturer for Trango, also called Trango but not otherwise affiliated. We sold them for a few years but I didn't like them too much. The stems were really stiff and they handled more like rigid Friends than anything else. They were well made and, other than old slings, are probably safe to use. We later switched to a Czech manufacturer (Hudy)who was willing to work with us on a more modern design.

Trango in Korea sold those cams for a while so the cams in question may be of more modern origin and have been grey-marketed into the country.

Climb safe,
Mal
