Hello,
looking for some climbing by Hermosillo, I noticed there isn't that much just wondering if anyone know of some climbing near by. All beta will be helpful.

I found myself in Hermosillo in 2006, and at that time there wasn't much but a few guys were bolting some lines up on the prominent peak nearby the city. I think it is called the Cerro de la Campana. I remember getting a ride up to a peak, close by and visible from downtown, where there used to be an old quarry (I think it is now abandoned). They were putting up a few routes there. I have no idea how it is today. Presumably and hopefully there is a bit more. Maybe go up there and look for some other climbers, and then they can tell you about other areas.

P Mac, just spoke with a bombero from Hermosillo and he said some folks have bolted routes at La Presa (the reservoir, which is empty). The FD uses it to practice rappelling. No info on routes though!
