I was just looking into buying a new hangboard and was wondering what everyone thought was a good one to buy. I was looking into getting one of these two: http://www.blankslateclimbing.com/shop/item/thebomb/ And http://www.amazon.com/Metolius-Project-Training-Board-Green/dp/B002N521GQ/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1324504435&sr=8-2-fkmr0 Any suggestions?

Both are great systems. If you are new to climbing, don't get a training board. Spend your funding on climbing gym time.

Just build your own. Go to Home Depot and look at all the wood stuff. There are so many possibilities for holds.

I did exactly that ! fkn climbing gym was selling them at $300AU a pop.. so I made my own for like $40... and it trumps theirs ... all ya need is timber.. texture spray paint and a router !
